Deficit Deadlift
Deficit Deadlift is a barbell pull exercise for the back, and it also works the glutes, hamstrings and forearms. If you cannot do it, Dumbbell Deadlift or Deadlift are good swaps.

How to do it
- Stand on a low platform or plate with the bar over your mid-foot and grip it just outside your legs.
- Drop your hips, chest up and back flat, and take the slack out of the bar.
- Push the floor away and drag the bar up your legs until you stand tall.
- Lower it the same way, back flat, to the start.
Watch out: Letting your hips shoot up first so the extra range turns into a stiff-leg pull.
